I love the idea of having seasonal rituals, and Christmas far too easily passes me by without intention which is a shame, because there is real magic around this time of year. It's a rare point in the year where we have time and opportunity to connect with those most important to us. Where we are able to show our love in person, or through thoughtful gifts and sentiments, and in turn remind ourselves how lucky we are. Add to that, the moody days and long nights which lend themselves perfectly for quiet reflection of the last 12 months in preparation for the New Year around the corner - it's a seasonal gift that I've been foolish to ignore.
But the truth is, for too many years now, I've allowed work to take precedence over friends and family. However, this year I am committed to change this.
How? I'm not 100% sure yet, although I know it will require me to STEP AWAY FROM THE MAC (at least once a day.) and, with a little help from some great prompts and ideas floating around this month, I started with my Christmas Manifesto.
I trust the rest will follow.
