Five Senses Friday

Friday, November 20, 2015

Not wanting to miss another day of blogging, I'm jumping on Jeanine's bandwagon with Five Senses Friday.

The idea is, each Friday, to stop and reflect on the week past using the five senses.  So here are mine...

Hearing - Love discovering new music on Spotify.  Up above is this weeks favourite.

Tasting - M&S Scottish Mackeral Pate.  Seriously. You need to try it.

Seeing - Wind and rain.

Smelling - Neal's Yard festive fragrance.  One of my favourite things about Winter - woody, spicy scents...

Feeling - The week started on a high but gradually descended into overwhelm with looming deadlines.

But, targets now met - I'm back on track again.

i love this take on the classic MJ song

{live music}

this was not from the concert last night, but gives you a good taster of his talent...

i have a love hate relationship with live music.
particularly with the smaller venues ~
as i am conflicted between preferring the intimacy afforded by these places,
with the inevitable chatter that seems equally unavoidable within them.

last night was one such occasion at the O2 academy in birmingham.
and, after surviving a near heart attack at how many people could possibly be squished into one space,
and, ignoring the pool of sweat coarsing down the channel of my spine,
i truly began questioning my better judgement of trying to hang out with students at my age!

then paolo came on stage.
and wow.
i was blown away.
this (see above) is why live music is worth it.
